Extra FAMILY ROOM Double Wide
November 21st, 2025The Clayton Tempo Series My Girl is a 1,344 sq. ft. three-bedroom, two-bath manufactured home built at the Marlette factory in Hermiston, Oregon. It’s one of the strongest value plays in the mid-size category, combining Energy Star construction, two living spaces, and a wide-open kitchen layout that feels larger than its footprint.
Exterior
The My Girl uses LP Smart Panel vertical siding, an 8-inch belly band, 4-inch LP trim, and 8-inch cement fascia. New models now include 16-inch soffits on all sides with ventilated LP paneling along the sidewalls. The home includes two hose bibs, two exterior GFIs, and three thermal-true Energy Star exterior doors. The nine-light rear doors and front lantern-style porch light bring in natural light and give the home a more residential feel. All windows are Energy Star vinyl low-E argon units sized at approximately 36 × 46 inches.
The My Girl is AC- and heat-pump-ready. On the display model, a Carrier heat pump is installed so buyers can see the full setup, from pad to line set to outdoor condenser. Heat pumps work as both cooling and efficient heating units down to roughly 20°F before switching to electric backup. The upgrade cost is minimal, and most buyers recover the difference within one winter season.
Interior
The layout combines a large living room, an open kitchen, a dining space, and—rare for this size—a full second family room. Homeowners looking for multi-generational setups, a kids’ zone, or a separate entertainment space tend to choose this model for that reason alone. LED recessed lighting is used throughout: four in the living room, four in the family room, five in the kitchen.
The kitchen includes hardwood painted shaker cabinets, a dishwasher, range, refrigerator, stainless hood vent, and optional micro-hood. Appliances are Energy Star Samsung units, including an upgrade option for a side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water. Countertops are available in two colors, black or white. Cabinets can now be mixed: different uppers, lowers, island, and pantry colors at no extra cost. Storage includes a large pantry cabinet with additional side shelving.
The furnace and hybrid water heater sit just off the kitchen. My Girl is an eBuilt energy-efficient model, including whole-house ventilation to balance pressure and humidity. The home uses a 200-amp Siemens panel with room for future upgrades such as a hot tub or solar.
A compact laundry room sits between the kitchen and utility entrance. It includes a matching shelf or an optional cabinet package.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Two guest bedrooms include ample closets, LED lighting, and receptacles on every wall. The guest bath is standard Tempo Series: fiberglass tub/shower, porcelain sink, single-lever faucets, and storage under the vanity.
The primary bedroom fits a queen bed with nightstands on both sides. It includes two LED can lights, fan-ready wiring, and a walk-in closet. The primary bath offers double sinks, fiberglass walk-in shower with glass door, porcelain fixtures, and the option to upgrade to the new Palisade resin-panel marble-look shower.
Energy and Construction
Like all Tempo Series homes, My Girl includes Energy Star windows, R21 exterior walls (2×6), R33 floors, and R40 ceilings. The home is built indoors at the Marlette factory, ensuring consistent quality and tight construction. An Ecobee thermostat comes standard, allowing smart scheduling, remote control, and adaptive temperature management.
Pricing and Options
The display model includes options such as upgraded exterior paint, 80-lb snow load, nine-light rear door, mini blinds, upgraded refrigerator, garbage disposal, and AC-ready setup. The only item not listed but shown on the lot is the Carrier heat pump. The total displayed price is $144,000, including delivery and setup within 100 miles of our Spokane or Pasco locations.
Why Buyers Choose My Girl
It’s rare to find a 1,344 sq. ft. home with two living rooms, a large island, generous storage, and Energy Star systems at this price point. My Girl feels larger than the square footage suggests, making it an attractive choice for small families, first-time buyers, downsizers, or multi-generational households.
Comparable Tempo Series options include the Freebird and Rocket Man, slightly larger models with different flow and room orientation. All share the same value-driven construction and limited-choice décor lineup that keeps pricing predictable and strong.
